Actifile allows you to receive real-time or daily notifications when sensitive file events occur. This guide walks you through the steps to activate alerts and select the right recipients.
Note: This article covers the Create Case feature in classifier settings. To receive alerts for sensitive data upload spikes across all classifiers and devices, use the Alert System instead.
Prerequisites
Before setting up alerts, ensure data activity notifications are enabled at the account and user level.
Enable Data Activity Notifications
Step 1. Log in to the Customer Portal, click the gear icon in the top-right corner, and select Settings.
Step 2. Open the Customer Settings tab.
Step 3. Locate Data Activity Email Notifications and set it to Daily or Immediate. Click Save to apply changes.
Select Admin Users to Receive Notifications
Step 1. In the Customer Portal, click the gear icon and go to Settings > Customer Users.
Step 2. Select the user who should receive notifications and click the Edit icon to open user settings.
Step 3. Ensure the following:
- Email alerts are enabled for the user.
- The user has admin permissions.

Step 5. Configure the following settings:
- Device selection:
- All devices

Step 6. In the Actions field, select Create Case and click Update to finalize the settings.
